Heads up: Windows may warn you when you install
LOWKI OS is made by a small independent team, and we haven't bought our code-signing certificate yet (about $130 a year; it's how Windows recognises a publisher). We'll get it as soon as we can afford it. Until then, Windows SmartScreen may show a blue “Windows protected your PC” screen when you open the installer. That's expected and normal for a new app, and we're working on removing it.

- Then click Run anyway.
- Follow the installer as usual.
Only download LOWKI OS from lowkios.com. If Windows says Smart App Control blocked this app, that setting blocks every unsigned app and has no “Run anyway”. You can turn it off under Windows Security > App & browser control, but on many PCs it can't be switched back on afterwards, so if you're unsure, wait for our signed release.
This is still early software
LOWKI OS is in active development, not a finished product. Expect the occasional bug, rough edge or crash — that's normal at this stage, not a sign your setup is broken.
